The key know-how and experience for wcsmusic stems from an ancient seat of learning with a musical tradition second to none, that of Wells Cathedral School.

Founded in 909, Wells was one of the first schools in the UK to invest in music technology and to teach it at ‘A’ level. It was also the first to cover every style of music, from classical to jazz, world music to big band and pop, choral, instrumental and composition. In particular, it is well known, for its expertise in the successful delivery of on-line learning in a number of curriculum areas.

For over 35 years Wells Cathedral School has achieved a leading edge reputation in the education of young musicians worldwide, attracting students from as far afield as Malaysia, Japan, Africa, Hong Kong, Romania and Germany, while the School’s ensembles have played on every continent.
