  Good source of information about styles of music and available CDs.



• A Guide to the Gamelan : Neil Sorrell; Faber and Faber 1990.
  
  Centred on Javanese Music. Excellent and very clear; but may be more useful to teachers.
  

Web-based

There is a wealth of material and information available on the Internet. Typing in a word like ‘Gamelan’ or ‘Javanese Music’ into a search engine will reveal a whole host of sites. Some of these contain links to yet more resources.

Information ranges from ‘entry-level’ to ‘advanced-research.’ Others are just good fun.
